Viking's Freedom® Model VK486 Residential Horizontal Sidewall Sprinkler is cULus Listed with a flow rate of 13 gpm (49.5 L/min) for a 16 x 16 ft (4.9 x 4.9 m) room size. This is the lowest UL Listed flow rate possible for NFPA 13D or 13R residential sprinkler systems requiring a 0.05 gpm/ft 2 (2.04 mm/min) minimum design density. Built from Viking’s patented flow shaper platform, the VK486 sprinkler also offers larger coverage areas including 20 x 20 ft (6.1 x 6.1 m) and 16 x 22 ft (4.9 x 6. 7 m). In each of its UL Listed areas of coverage, it provides the lowest flow rates available in the industry.  The optional Electroless Nickel PTFE (ENT) coating has been investigated for installation in corrosive atmospheres and is UL Listed as corrosion resistant.
